I wouldn’t describe myself as a seasoned poker player, but I do love to play a few hands when time allows, so I decided to check Poker Plex out. I went to www.pokerplex.com and downloaded the software. I was very soon registering my account. The first thing that struck me was the colour scheme.
The poker tables are a nice relaxing pale blue colour, very easy on the eyes, and you can almost feel the plush carpet background on your feet! I registered a real money account, but there is the option to play on free tables, so I had a go on some of them first, to get familiar with the software and personal options that can be set.
One new feature is the option to create your own avatar. This is the poker chip type token that is on the table, in effect representing each player. I learned that you can add your own photo to it, or if you’re a bit too bashful for that, or don’t want your poker face to be seen, you can put a photo of your dog, cat, even your goldfish! I am going to practice with my hard poker face before I add my avatar.
Your chosen picture will subject to approval first of course. If you hover your mouse over each avatar, you can see the player’s name, and even where they are from, unless they have chosen not to disclose their location.
I decided to make my first deposit and get playing on the real money tables. Amazingly, I found out that I can get up to $200 bonus every month! I made my deposit by credit card, without problem, and went to the lobby.
